A New Cultural
Celebration

Salt Lake Literary Festival is a new cultural celebration dedicated to the power of language, story, and imagination in the heart of our vibrant city.

This one-day event will bring together authors, poets, publishers, artists, educators, and readers from across Utah and beyond. Our mission is to create an inclusive and engaging space for literary expression, highlighting both emerging voices and established writers through readings, panels, workshops, a book fair, and community events.

Whether you are a writer, educator, publisher, community leader, or literary enthusiast, we welcome your participation and support.

I'm Jesus Garcia, the founder and organizer of the Salt Lake Literary Festival. I am formerly from Chicago, where I developed a lifelong love for books, literature and the arts. When not working on projects for Salt Lake City nonprofit groups, I spend most of my leisure time reading, browsing bookstores, traveling to domestic and international museums while visiting cultural and historical attractions, walking my beloved dog Henry, jogging, and watching college hoops and fave Boston Celtics.  The Salt Lake Literary Festival is a new and exciting chapter in my life, a labor of love, and it offers me a way to give back.
